Many young men dream about having that ripped body that you see in a workout commercial.

Yet, so many young men start a lifting and diet regimen that doesn’t seem to be giving them the body that they desire. If you find this to be the case for you, you may find that an anabolic steroid and post-cycle therapy plan are what you need.

So, what are post-cycle therapy and anabolic steroids? Keep reading to find out!

What is Post-Cycle Therapy?

When you set out on a diet and exercise plan, your goal is to gain muscle and build fat.

It’s already difficult to transform your body by losing weight and gaining muscle. If you’re looking for a major increase in size, this is a huge task to take on.

A goal of gaining tons of muscle means you’ll need to incorporate anabolic supplements into your routine. This is where post-cycle therapy comes in.

Post-cycle therapy (PCT) is an effective way for bodybuilders to keep their hormones balanced. How your hormones work play a huge part in your ability to gain muscle mass. It’s important to understand what’s going on in your body in order to avoid health problems or muscle loss.

Post-cycle therapy helps you stay on top of it.

Post-Cycle Therapy and Anabolic Nutritional Steroids

As we mentioned earlier, if you’re looking to gain a great deal of muscle mass, an anabolic nutritional steroid is your go-to.

Anabolic steroids are human-made supplements that are a variation of testosterone, AKA, the male sex hormone. The true name for these supplements is “anabolic-androgenic steroids.”

Anabolic means “muscle-building,” while androgenic means, “increased male characteristics.” So, the supplement builds muscles by increasing male hormones. Having an increase in male hormones will heighten your ability to build muscle and increase your size.

While taking nutritional anabolic steroids is helpful for gaining muscle mass, if used incorrectly, these supplements can have negative impacts. Not only can the supplements cause you to lose muscle mass when used incorrectly, but serious health complications can occur.

This is why nutritional anabolic steroids should be used with post-cycle therapy.

As you begin an anabolic cycle, your testosterone levels may become lower at the end of the cycle. If your testosterone levels are lower at the end of the cycle, you may experience muscle wastage, which is going to undo all of your hard work.

Post-cycle therapy works to bring your body back to the state it was in before beginning the nutritional anabolic steroids. This keeps your hormones stable and from crashing after finishing an anabolic cycle.

What Happens to Your Body During a Cycle?

There’s a series of events that happen to your body when you’re on a cycle. They are:

  1. A sudden change in the amount of testosterone in your body. These androgenic hormones cause a complete hormonal shift within your body.
  2. With this sudden increase in testosterone, your body panics a bit and stops creating more testosterone. This shouldn’t be a problem if you’re still receiving exogenous testosterone. With exogenous testosterone still present, you will likely feel your best.
  3. While your body ceasing production of testosterone during a cycle is okay, once the cycle ends your levels of testosterone will crash.
  4. If you don’t find a way to stabilize your hormones again, cortisol levels will rise along with Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. As a result of cortisol and SHBG rising, your estrogen levels will also rise
  5. Once estrogen levels have risen, you’ll notice that the gains you worked so hard for are starting to disappear right in front of your eyes. You will feel like a mess mentally, and you may feel like a mess physically.

Once your cycle has ended, you have two options.

You can either let your body recover on its own or you can use PCT. If you aren’t experiencing any health complications or deficiencies, it shouldn’t be a problem to let your body heal itself.

Keep in mind that your body is trying to survive without a hormone it’s used to having. This will create side effects that make you feel completely miserable.

If you choose to incorporate PCT into your lifting plan, the PCT helps make the end of the cycle easier. This restores your body’s natural hormones so you don’t have to wait months to feel like yourself again.

What Ingredients To Look for in PCT

As you start your anabolic cycle and PCT, you’ll want to keep an eye out for specific products in your PCT.

Clomid PCT Protocol

Clomid is a form of Estrogen that has been synthesized.

It can also be referred to as a “selective androgen receptor modulator.” If a bodybuilder is going through a heavy cycle with many different compounds, it’s suggested to include Clomid in the cycle.

Testosterone is increased with Clomid as a reaction in the hypothalamus and pituitary glands. The Clomid stimulates these glands and as a result, they create gonadotropic hormones. The gonadotropic hormones boost the amount of testosterone that’s being produced in the body.

It’s important to remember that while Clomid is the strongest for muscle-building, it also holds the possibility of many side effects. Because of the side effects present in Clomid, many bodybuilders choose Nolvadex instead.

The average Clomid dosage is 25-50 mg every day. When you use Clomid in your PCT, you should expect the cycle to last for around four weeks.

Nolvadex PCT Protocol

Nolvadex can be compared to Clomid in the sense that they produce similar results.

Nolvadex also goes by the name “Tamoxifen.” It works as an estrogen receptor modulator just as the Clomid does. Many bodybuilders prefer to use Nolvadex over Clomid because it produces very similar results, yet, the side effects are milder.

Like Clomid, Nolvadex is an essential ingredient when beginning PCT. Clomid and Nolvadex have basically the same reaction in your body, but Nolvadex stays in the bloodstream longer.

If you’re starting to use Nolvadex, you’ll want to take around 10-40 mg per day. The cycle with Nolvadex also takes around 4 weeks or one month to complete.

HCG

HCG is another ingredient that helps boost the production of testosterone in your body.

It works by stimulating the Leydig cells which are located in the testes. When the Leydig cells are stimulated, testosterone is boosted.

Rebirth

Rebirth can be found over-the-counter.

Rebirth contains many different extracts and ingredients which boost the production of testosterone. Rebirth is preferred by many because it’s a mild formula. Also, it doesn’t require you to use Clomid or Nolvadex.

To use Rebirth, you’ll want to start taking it after your cycle is done. Rebirth can be purchased in a 30-day supply, so you’ll take the full supply to recover. Additionally, Rebirth works well as an estrogen-blocker.

The Importance of Post-Cycle Therapy

Post-cycle therapy is a crucial part of using nutritional anabolic steroids.

Without regulating your hormones, you face the risk of losing all the muscle mass you gained during your anabolic cycle. Anabolic steroids shut down your testosterone production, and without something to regulate it, you risk wasting all that time and effort.

Also, PCT helps reduce your body’s cortisol levels.

The Mistake that So Many New Bodybuilders Make

While there’s tons of information about using anabolic steroids, unfortunately, many new bodybuilders fail to learn.

This is a dangerous topic to go about without researching. When used incorrectly, anabolic steroids can cause issues like…

  • paranoia
  • aggression
  • impaired judgment
  • kidney failure or other problems with the kidneys
  • liver damage
  • heightened risk of blood clots

While nutritional anabolic steroids are an incredibly useful way to boost your muscle mass, they must be used carefully. Failure to do so can lead to long-term harm to your body.

Many bodybuilders who start using anabolic steroids have no idea what PCT even is. Many new bodybuilders are younger men, so imagine an 18-year-old boy running around and mixing supplements with no idea what they’re doing.

Scary, right?

Not only do they not know how to use the supplements together, but they aren’t aware of the way to restore their body’s natural state. So, they’re mixing potentially dangerous compounds, while probably increasing the use when they notice their gains going away.

Many new bodybuilders start to have adverse side effects from using anabolic steroids, so they stop the use. This leaves them with a host of health problems, and no gains to even show for it!

The impact that anabolic steroids can have on your body when used incorrectly makes the research a necessity.

Before starting any anabolic steroids, you should know the recommended dosage, the side effects of the supplements you’re taking, the cycle length, and how to use PCT with the steroids.

Don’t Hesitate to Start Your PCT

If you’re a new bodybuilder, post-cycle therapy is essential to use with any kind of nutritional anabolic steroid.

This is important for your health and your ability to gain muscle mass. Trust us, this isn’t a step that you want to skip.
